I guess what im asking is how is it done, how does it work, and what is the purpose. Im under the impression that its either for better gas mileage, or its an equivalent to a NOS system, only for a diesel. Enlighten me.

The Police are not always keen to take any action. Is there a procedure? Via web pages?

Under the computerised system, can the Police find out if a vehicle is taxed? Can this sort of work be privatised? Would that be a good idea?

I got this piece of information regarding bore stroke ratio of the engine - "The bore is the diameter of the cylinder and the stroke is the length that piston travels, which is generated when pistons upmost and downmost positions are compared, which is twice the crank throw."

I am wondering what "crank throw" is. Please help out? Thanks!

Some suggest that G.M. -- which says it invested some $1 billion in the EV1 -- never really wanted the cars to take off. They say G.M. intentionally sabotaged their own marketing efforts because they feared the car would cannibalize its existing business. G.M. disputes these claims.
