If it does not have any differential ,what mechanism is there at the rear wheels for it to turn?

if the car is front wheel drive only then no it doesnt have a rear diff the wheels dont drive the car usually they are just on their own hubs attached to the suspension assembly but if it is all wheel drive then it will have a front and rear diff the gearbox will also have a diff but only on awd cars

Each rear wheel sits on roller bearings that attach to a fixed metal shaft. Often the shaft is just a small thing a few inches long that sticks out of the rear suspension, but a few front wheel drive cars have a solid, nonrotating rear axle that runs from one wheel to the other.
