The Police put a broadcast out for the vehicle. No Felony for the boy tonight. This is his last chance.

The easy answer is yes, sent him to jail and let him learn his lesson. But can you really do it? If I were you, I hide my keys and make sure he have no assess to it. Put a lock in the steering wheel and hold on to the key. This way he would learn better. I never believe jail is the answer to anybody, let alone that is your own son. Is he still very young? I guess you just spend more time with him and it will work itself out.

It is easy to say, yes! By all means, prosecute! The only problem is that jail is a great place to learn how to become a better criminal. However, depending on how far you've gone with him, jail might be the right answer.

You should set the tone for your impatience by alerting the authorities. How old is he? It is never right to operate a vehicle without the owner's permission.

Yes. Let him spend the night in jail to think about taking things that do not belong to him. If he keeps on getting away with it unpunished it may encourage him to do bigger and worse things.

Yes you should.
If You don't he will think he can do anything he want's to, and that is very bad for him to think he can do anything he wants and not have consequences for his actions.
