I have a 2003 toyota camry - it recently started making some rattling nose - but only at low speeds and idling? The noise is similar to something trying to suck not enough liquid thru a straw. Any recommendations?

Ok, so I don't really need a car but I'm going to buy one. I work and live in San Francisco so my commute (round trip) is approximately 5 miles, 4 days a week. On weekends I would use it to go out at night but no major drives. Many of you will say if you don't need it don't buy it but the thing is, I'm going to buy a car. Should I buy a Prius or get another brand? Are they really good for the environment? Really I would love to have the Hydrogen-powered BMW but I don't think it is out yet and god only knows how much it would cost. I owned a beat-up 1983 BMW 320i and I loved it. I wouldn't mind owning another BMW 3 series but I want to do my part for the environment. I would appreciate your input. Thanks.

The Toyota Prius is electric powered for city use and petrol motor for highways.. Why didn't they put a diesel motor in it to make it more fuel efficient?

I have checked all fuses and wiring. I think the problem is in the switch.

Tell me all about its mechanical reliability, ability to function in VERY cold weather and safety systems -- how many airbags, for example?

I have a 2000 toyota camry 4cyl with the 2.2L 5SFE stock toyota engine. i'm interested in improving the perforformance beyond installing a simple cold-air intake or paying a lot for custom aspiration like a turbo. So my question is this: what engine swaps would convert easily into the bay (i wouldn't be doing it myself, but still, i know enough about cars to know that some engines wouldn't work) and/or what other performance upgrades could be done?

Anyone in the united states own or drive one? I understand it is small and probably drives rough and has little power but aside from that is it dependable? What do you think of it?

The engine in question comes from a 1995 Toyota Camry. The engine has been well taken care of and seems to be running strong yet it is showing it's age.
In other words, how much does an engine rebuild generally cost?
Pros or Cons to the two?

Thanks.

Does anyone know the ballpark price to repair/replace a 1998 Toyota Camry rear bumper? This includes all the bumper parts and painted to match the rest of the car.

My car wouldn't start. It sure tried hard. I finally got it started. But, then it pinged badly when I was driving it. It has had a slight ping for the past three weeks or so. I thought it just needed an oil change, so I got it one.

Does it have a timing chain? If the chain needs adjustment would this cause it to ping?

Could bad gas cause a pinging? Would a fuel cleaner help?

Help, please! :(

They stopped working Christmas Eve, so far we have replaced the headlight relay, bulbs and sockets. They flip up like they should and all other lights work. We do not have the $ to take it to a shop but must get them fixed ASAP. This is our only ride. Any advice as to what to try next would be greatly appriciated. Also if anyone knows where I can get a color coded wiring diagram that would be great to as I'm afraid that it is a wire problem, perhaps a faulty ground.

I recently acquired an '87 Toyota Supra (automatic) and I'm wanting to do a few things to it, first off putting a manual tranny in it. Anyone know some good websites for parts for this car? I wasn't able to find much on the net and I didn't see any other answers out of the 367 I turned up with Supra on this site. I need a speedo cable as well (figure I have to go back to Toyota?). If there's anything I should know about the car (problems, great car crappy car, that would be great too). It's a 3.0L 6 cylinder BTW. It has cross drilled rotors up front and stock disks in the rear. Are those easy to change? I do better with dogs than cars!! :-) Thanks for any and all info.
