im seriously thinking of dropping in a ford 5.0 HO from an 80's mustang or lincoln mark 8. the engine will fit with some minor modifications but im concerened that it might offend every single person who like imports.

My engine makes a light knocking noise that is coming from the top of the engine. its a steady knock that changes with engine RPM. The knock sounds like it is two knocks happening very fast. it is coming from the top rear of the engine. The oil pressure is still good. it has 65psi at full throttle and 35 at idle. its a 3.1L V6 with 158,000 miles.

The 10/100000 warrenty of the Kia and the Hyundai appeal to me, also the features for the $$. I hesitated on Hyundai because 2 models reviewed in Consumer guide says there is a "clunk" after 3000mi that can't be fixed. In Yahoo archives there are the good comments and bad. Is the warrenty and features for the $$ worth the chance or do I go for an older more miles popular car to meet my budget?

2005 G35 Coupe WITH a Supercharger- Saw it Dyno with my own eyes at 407 hp at the wheels. (this is an additional 123 hp over stock 6spd man g35 coupe)

2005 Mustang Cobra- Rated at 395 hp at the crank, so probably closer to 360-370 at the wheels.

I was thinking about stupid stuff in the shower this morning. This guy on Yahoo Answer was asking how to say something in German. I replied like the dork I am and put "Herr" in front of whatever word he was looking for, i.e. Herr X. I then continued to answer, i.e. "for French, it's le X; for Spanish, it's el X, and so on." That reminded me of the French car called Le Car by Renault and thought about how cute they were. I mean, the sunroof encompassed the entire roof, but it was probably normal sized on an American car. I used to drive a Peugeot 405 in the early 90's. That was a fun car to drive. I believe it had the best stick shift of anything I've driven to date. I just got to thinking that I haven't seen any French cars around lately. Why aren't there French cars in the US? Are they that bad? Do they not last as long as a Kia or a Hyundai? I mean, those guys are still putt-putting around, right? Well, I leave you to it, and please pardon me while I go and shave now.

Just hit 100,000 Km, on this little car. Manual says to do timing belt after 100k, would I be taking a major risk trying to hit a few more K's on it (20,000 - 30,000) before I change the belt?
