What is the highest altitude commercial aircraft fly?

What is the highest altitude commercial aircraft generally fly? I know I have been in planes that flew between 25,000 and 35,000 ft. It seems that some international flights are on the higher end like 32,000 to 35,000 ft. Does anyone know if there are any regulations on what the highest altitudes allowed are? Are max altitudes any different for aircraft in Canada?

Where can I find someone to teach me to fly a plane cheaper than a flight school?

I am looking for a person that can teach me to fly privately rather than spending way more money on a flight school.

Boeing vs Airbus. Is Airbus a threat to Boeing? Is Airbus a serious rival in quality/price?

Living in a French entourage, everyone is saying that Airbus is a proof of European genius and that they've outdone Boeing etc...
What advantages do airline companies have when they order an Airbus? Are the parts cheaper, are they more reliable, is the plane cheaper than a Boeing equivalent (apart from the A380), easier to maintain, electronics more modern, ? Is the interior comfort better than Boeing?
I wuold really appreciate your thoughts on the matter, if you know!

Why can an Airplane transponder be turned off.?

If a black box cannot be turned off why can the TCAS or transponder be turned off or put on standby. Why isnt it always on.
