I collect hats and I saw a United Airlines pilot's cap for sale online. I seem to remember after the September 11th attacks it became illegal to buy and sell commercial airline uniforms (including caps) because they could be used by terrorists posing as airline employees. Does anyone know if this is true? I don't want to buy something illegally.

If the right six instruments are there and in the right order but the Turn co-ordinator is lower than the rest, is that still considered a standard six or would that make it non-standard?

A major complaint of the blended wing design for new aircraft is that there would be fewer windows for passengers.

Would you accept to fly on a windowless plane if you were able to
"see" outside of the aircraft on a monitor in front of your seat?

With the reduction in the cost of LCD screens I believe it would be easier to install this type of monitors in your front seat allowing you to have multiple views of the aircraft and its surroundings. Don't you hate it when the pilot uses the PA system to tell you what wonderful monument or view is on this or the other side of the plane and you are sitting on the opposite side?

I also believe it would be possible to reduce the cost of construction of airplanes and increase the integrity and lifespan of hulls if windows were removed.

What do you think?

I know that there are helipads on the roofs of many New York City skyscrapers. However, at least some of these helipads are not being used. The Metlife building (used to be Pan Am), for instance, no longer uses its helipad because of a fatal helicoptor accident in 1977.

Are rooftop helicoptor landings permitted in New York city (for private/corporate general aviation, not emergency use)?

If landings are permitted, which helipads are being actively used by private citizens or corporations?

I am interested in becoming a pilot. I want to watch some videos of airline pilots and what exactly they do. I also want to know what is good about becoming one? Where is the best place in the usa to go college to become an airline pilot? What airlines are hiring? is it going to be hard to get a job?
