I don't see why I can't. I only make 7.75 an hour. It's not like I'm making so much money that I should pay taxes. I don't think it's fare that I have to pay taxes. My paycheck looks so small when compared to what I could have if I didnt pay tax.

At this time of the year, none of the dealerships have any 2006 models left so i have thought of buying a 2007 model. Can i get a tax break for the next filing period in march 2007 or i will get on for March 2008 year? I went to a website which lists something about this but did not make a whole lot of sense to me. You can refer to it. http://www.bankrate.com/brm/itax/tips/20030219a1.asp?caret=14 Thanks

What do I do? I dont know too much about taxes, it was my first time filing on my own, I am 19!
I moved to another state and didnt receive my W-2's from my jobs in the state I moved from so I didnt file. What kind of penalties will they give me? Anything you can tell me about taxes will help. I will be checking these answers every few minutes or so....so if you need more info, let me know!

Does the tax rate change? Is the only difference that a greater percentage must be withheld?
Thanks.

My little brother worked the summer of 2004 for a landscaper. He was paid weekly with a company check that never withheld any taxes, Fica etc. However, my brother worked 40+ hours a week from May until August thinking he was a seasonal employee. When January 2005 came around and my brother never got a W2, he called the landscaper. The landscaper told him he didn't get a W2 because he was "subcontracted labor" and also said he couldn't provide my brother with proof of how much he paid him that year due to a misplaced records. My brother couldn't get his bank records because he had none. He cashed his checks at a check cashing store. Then he does his does his taxes based on what he thinks he was paid. Now he has recieved a letter from the IRS stating he owes them almost more then he earned that summer in taxes and fees. The landscaper has since gone backrupt. Any suggestion on how to help this poor dumb struggling college kid straighten this situation out?

I work about 30 hours a week and also am taking around 15 units at the university. What should I be filling out on my W-4 form and are there any other forms I should fill out? I claimed exempt for the last two months of this year, I know I will end up owing because of it, will I be penalized? If so, how bad?
