I am a student and obviously money is scarce, i have a small part time job and am selling stuff on ebay... but i need to get myself a bit of cash ne other ideas?

I know i'm looking for a needle in a haystack or whatever analogy you want to use. I'm 27 working full-time with a good job but my problem is I have some extremely important bills coming due by the end of the month and i'm short on cash. I have nothing valuable to sell and no family members to hook me up. I know this is an impossible question but is there any LEGITIMATE places on the web to apply for a small loan for bad credit.......NO PAYDAY LOAN LINKS OR NO AFFILIATE LINKS please.

I did my listing on prosper.com, this is not an ad this is just for reference------>https://www.prosper.com/public/lend/listing.aspx?listingID=86367
Im not expecting to get this done because my state interest rate is capped at 15%. If prosper dosent work are there any other LEGITIMATE websites to check out

Thanks,
Mike

Have you filed Chapter 13 Bankruptcy under the new laws? If so, what were your total up-front costs?

How much debt did you have?

I have 1000 dollars left bi-weekly after expenses. Should I invest it in mutual funds? I am planning to buy a house by the end of the year, so I'll need it for down payment?

I am about to go through a divorce and although the state may issue me child support money, i am kind of expecting the worse because i have kind of learned to do that with my husband because he's not very reliable...the reason for divorce. Anyway, if i get stuck without child support money, i will only be able to afford my basic utilities and rent. Should i go ahead and file for bankruptcy...or is there a way where i can avoid it? I mean i have student loans, medical bills, taxes owed and a couple of credit cards....what should i do?

I just got my debit card in the mail the other day, and I was wondering what the difference was if I ran it as a credit instead of debit when buying stuff. I know when I run it a debit I have to put my pin# in, and for a credit I have to sign the reciet, but whats the real difference?

What else can I do to improve retirement planning considering my employeer doesn't offer anything helpful? They offer profitsharing but if you leave prior to seven years you get nothing. I do plan on leaving within the seven years, already in my second year.

Other Facts:
- No longer contributing to 401k, but contributing the max Roth IRA limit every year, invested in individual stocks returning 10-18%. Maxing Roth for last six years.
- Saving 30% every pay period w/direct dep. to online savings acct to build up liquid emergency funds & siphoning excess to Brokerage acct for investing.
- Contributing approx. 6K/year to Brokerage account invested in no -load index funds returning 8 - 15%. Aggressive growth portfolio.
- Purchased insurance policy to build up cash value and create something for beneficiaries
- Age: 32, good health/non-smoker, renter (housing in area runs over 800k), no dependants, no liabilities

What do you advise in my situation? Thank you for your help.

When you're filling out your W-4 for your paycheck. Is it more beneficial to get more of your money during the year instead of one lump sum in your return.

I was recently sued by a credit card company, but a judgement has not been issued yet. I was wondering if I could still file for bankruptcy.

Ok for instance i am about to apply for an AMEX student blue card it says:

lue from American Express® is a credit card that adapts to your needs. It's designed to give you more flexibility and independence. You can pay for your purchases in full or pay over time. Blue has no annual fee, a competitive 0.00% APR for up to the first 15 months and a grace period up to 20 days. Additional Cards are fee-free, so you can share virtually all the benefits and services with your friends or family members. Define financial control on your own terms with Blue from American Express®.

Now i am buying a ring for my GF it is $750. How would the intrest rates work on the ring. Is it monthly until i pay the ring off. How much extra will i be paying for the ring after 3 months. and do i have to pay the ring off in 1 month to avoid intrest rates or do i have to pay it off in 1 month period.

I'm thinking about getting a secured credit card from Orchard Bank. I've already visited their website and started the application process but I would like to hear about any experiences that others have had with this company. Thanks.

if the house is worth more. I don't know how this all works. We need money for 2 mattress sets, kitchen table and chairs, washer, dryer, lawnmower and we would also like to purchase a gas grill. I've estimated we can get all of these things for under $5K. Also, the house only has a one-car garage and we would like to build on. Can we get the money for that included in this initial mortgage? I know we can do this later in an equity line of credit, but if there is a way, we would like these items now.

after a discharge you are required to report it and even pay stuff back. My question is if you could safely but money into cd's with kids name on it so that you wouldn't have to claim it? I don't want to be dishonest but any savings I may accumulate over these next months I want to safe guard from this mess happening again...Anybody know anything about this? Thank you

This question is for those who are financially worry-free. I don't mean wealthy people or those who don't take care of their own finances. I mean people who are working, raising families, and yet on top of their financial situation.

I am married with 2 young sons. What we make in take home pay covers well over our usual bills. Groceries and gas are budgeted, but a little looser. Saving money seems like a joke. I budget out our finances to the point I get obsessed with it. It doesn't seem to matter how much out of debt we get, we can always find some place to use the extra money instead of using it to pay off another debt. I'm really frustrated because I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Why can I figure it on paper, but can't make it happen? I write out a meal plan for an entire month and stick to it very closely, we don't eat out, and we don't go out. Because of our situation, I really worry about how my sons will learn to manage finances. Give me a clue!

My account says I'm in the negative about $30.00. All I want to do is cash a$25.00 check because I need it for gas money... I know it's a small amount but if I just put it into my account I won't have any money for gas! Will they let me just get cash for the check...?
