I just got out of a relationship and the person I was with abused my atm card which put me on the chex system and I am unable to resolve the problem.

Someone advised me to go online and type in 2nd chance banking where I can start an account, get a debit card and go from there, you can also call some places but I dont know enough about these companies, does anyone have any suggestions about any banks who does 2nd chance banking or has anyone ever started an account online?

My husband and I are looking for a new credit card that offers good rewards. We currently have a Citibank Drivers Edge and they have dropped the rewards to only 1% on ALL purchases. The points can no longer be used on paying for vehicle services at the dealership, only if and when we buy a new or used Ford vehicle.

We use our credit card for all our prescription drugs and have a couple automatic payments set up to be charged on the card monthly. On occasion I use the card for groceries. Otherwise it is used for all online purchases.

Please - no lectures about credit cards. We only have one and pay it off monthly. There is no way I am paying that extra 20+%!

My husband and I have a daughter and we'd like to adopt a child from another country. We're both social service workers and our income is "modest." I've been researching this and have realized the cost is going to be $25,000.00--very cost-prohibitive. Any ideas how i might raise some money--we'll have to take a loan out for sure, but it would be prudent to not take another huge loan out in addition to our mortgage. My job doesn't offer any assistance & my mom, who is widowed, is on a limited income. I wish we knew of attorneys who wouldn't try to profit from this. My husband is a little anxiuous about the expenses...wish i were friends w/angeline joliet (ha! ha!). Give me some creative (and legal ) ways to defray the colossal expenses. Attorneys welcome to respond!!!

Basically I want an account that I can't unlock for a year or two. I will only put money into it when I can, but I don't want to be allowed to take money out... at all, no exceptions. Does such a thing exist? Does it offer interest; do you have to pay to have it?

If you're curious, I'm just saving for travel to see a few friends.

I'm sending someone I know over the internet (buying something off of them) a money order. I don't want this person to know my real name, but at the same time I'm afraid they might do a background check or something, no?

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, I hope someone can help me out. I am with TD Canada Trust and I bought several money orders to send to someone specific because I worked with them. Basically I list on eBay, keep some money and then I send them the rest. The problem is, the person I am working with is either not sending the items to customers or they are sending the wrong items. I am completely fed up with working with them and feel like this may be a scam or fraud. I've spoken with him over the phone, but he always tells me to relist and take the money out of there. The way I paid him was that I send the money order overnight with tracking. I want to ask, is there anyway I can get a refund from the money orders I sent to him? I have all receipts and all tracking info and emails. I am forced to give refunds to my customers because I can't rely on him. Please let me know what options I have. Thank you.

can anyone tell me if it is legal for my bank to close my checking account and write a loan out of my name, without my permission while I am going thru a divorce?

Check my math.
I'm trying to find ways to save money. I think by doing this, I can actually put money into my savings account without doing too much work. It's very hard for me to put money into my savings account each week by myself. If I do direct deposit, that should make it easier on me. My theory is as follows....my mortgage payment is $555/mo, if I direct deposit $150/wk into my savings account, every 4 weeks I deposit $600. At the end of the month, when the mortgage is due, I transfer the $555 to the mortgage account. I checked, the bank will let me do that without penalty. Which would leave a total $1140 ($150/wk X 52 wks - $555/mo x 12mo) in my savings account per year, plus interest.

Does this sound right? Or, can you see a flaw that I don't?

I received the loan in another state. I moved back to Tx but left the car in a relatives garage in the state where I got the loan. I have been unable to make the payments. They are threatening filing fraud chareges on me. I am willing to let them repo the car.
