I paid £150 security deposit on my 12month contract phone with THREE MOBILE , i paid each and every phone bill on time and the contract ended in april (thankfully!). "months later despite numberous call to them, they have not returned my £150 despite assuring me i would receive a cheque within 28days. How do i get this back? Am i entitled to compensation/ interest on the sum? How do i report them to the industry watchdog?

An example is of Zimbabwe where real inflation is around 6000%. In normal/stable environments budgets are drafted for the coming financial year (i.e. 12 months). However, in Zimbabwe no one call accurately forecast things like inflation, the exchange rate or interest rates meaning that trying to predict revenue, sales etc can be difficult; so in such an environment how can businesses address the issue, how do they budget if its at all possible or necessary?

and i'm thinking of what may be a high number... 10%.

here's my reasoning:
- salary.com says i should be making that much.
- my reviews have been very good
- i love my job and show it by working hard
- my boss seems to like me
- i spent the last year managing a project which i inadvertently took over through really hard work and the fact that i fixed some major problems that i discovered when i first came on....
- i am now one of the main consultants on a new software we're using because i've been able to pick it up very quickly

so i am thinking i deserve it. is this going to reflect badly on me? or should i just go for it and hope that it'll at least get me something close?

I just got a job as a bookkeeper for a small company. I am going to school to get a degree in accounting, i was wondering does this count as experience for accounting. Someone told me that this bookkeeping can get me a good job after i graduate and i can make good money with it. Will this job really help me in landing good job after i get a degree? Any personal experiences?

If you have a customer returning something, would you use GST payable or GST recoverable?

E.g.

Damage merchandise was returned by G.Zahn. Credit Invoice 92 was issued today for $114 ($6 GST and $8 PST, $100 merchandise)

When you want to buy something from another country, you have to find a seller who’s willing to take dollars, but that isn’t too hard because the us dollar is widely accepted. Comment on this statement.

Look up Harry Potter books and see how cheap they are. I have the first 4 on there for 37 with 7 watchers and 2 or 3 hours left still. Another guy has all six and is up to 102 dollars. Should I get them cheap on there, then resell them with the right words?

i bought an item on ebay for 200 pounds, and paid for it immediately through Paypal, but i never received the goods. The seller never replied any emails, and has since de-registered at ebay.
Paypal and ebay advise me that since its been over 60 days since the transaction - there is nothing they can do for me.
As i paid for the item with a credit card, could i make them reimburse me? Is there some law or consumer act that would help?

I have recently been researching the Irish Fenians, when I came across this gem:
"British government appealing to the Sultan of Turkey to reduce his donation from o10,000 to o1,000 in order not to embarrass Queen Victoria who had only pledged o1,000 to relief."
Now thats great and everything, but makes me wonder....what form of currency is this?
Does the "o" even represent a monetary character? Or was it just placed there to look nice?
I need help soon please, this is for school.
