Best courier service from India to USA? Should be able to track packages.?

Can you recommend good courier services from India to USA. Fedex/UPS are good, but expensive. Any other suggestions?

1. DHL's website is very confusing.
2. Fedex costed me Rs.1750 from Chennai to Washington,DC
3. UPS gave me a quote for Rs.1350 for the same (discovered later).
4. This is for 2 day. Dropped in Monday afternoon, reached destination on Wednesday morning.
5. Cheaper was First Flight, which costed me Rs.1050, but it took 4 days, and it basically used a local carrier in US (not anything famous).

Looks Rs.1900 is way too expensive. May be OK for some interiors, away from Metros.

Ofcouse Fedex/UPS didn't have anything closer, I had to take it 25KM to the city center.

I used the services of a local courier. He charged Rs.750 for New Jersey (NJ).
Since most local courier agents in India don't have agents in USA, they end up using the services of popular courier agents like UPS.
My shipment was circulated amongst three local agents before it reached UPS. And once it reached UPS, I was able to track it online. And yes, I submitted the shipment on Monday afternoon and it reached its destination in North Brunswick, NJ on Thursday morning!

So if you go to popular agents, they shall charge more. So I would suggest to go through some local courier agent.

Remember, if it's local its not necessarily bad, right?

And our old 'dak-khana' (India Post) still works as well! But it might take some more time than private agents.

The shipment I had to send weighed more than 500gms. and less than 1kg. Hence the steep price quote. The local agent did check the weight and asked for Rs. 1350. But since I had consulted several local agents who charged upto Rs.800, I negotiated further and brought the price to Rs.750!

Moreover, the local agent was just next to my office gate. So I dint had to travel anywhere.

I am in New Delhi, the national capital of India, ok.

UPS is best but most expensive. Try EMS from India Post. Go to any post office to avail the facility. Tracking service is available online, the cost is about half that of UPS, the service is reliable but may take a couple of days longer than UPS. I used it last week to send documents. UPS quoted Rs 2300, EMS charged me Rs1100. It took 6 days to reach and the tracking site worked.

It depends upon the weight of your packet that your are sending to USA.
If it is More then 50 Kg, Balaji Courier & cargo will carry that in just 315 Per Kg.
