Hi I just received this letter this morning I'm a bit worried to say the least. Ive been looking round for answers but have found very little, a few forums mention the things in the letter such as the finance groups it talks about but nothing is related specifically to IT Skills Group where as on the student area of there web site IT Skills Group had this to say:

"We are aware that a malicious and anonymous letter has been circulated to some of our students. Please be assured that NONE of the content of this letter is true.

We are conducting an investigation, so please contact the office if you have any concerns."

I'm not really sure what to believe but I would of liked the letter to have some form of contact information on to discuss this further with the sender.

I hope this has helped and if you find anything more out I would really appreciate it if you could keep me informed.

Chances are some SCAMMER has obtained a list of their students addresses .. it may be their security is crap or a current / former employee has obtained access ..

So I would suggest this is simply a SCAM designed to get you to reveal sufficient additional details about yourself so they can find a way of emptying your bank account.

"100% REFUND ON YOUR IT TRANING (PUBLIC NOTICE) " is a dead give away.

This sort of wording is typical of the (Nigerian 419) Advanced Fee Fraudster = they suggest you will get some 'benefit' and then use words like '(PUBLIC NOTICE)' to suggest there is some 'official' backing

Just bin it with all the other junk mail.
