When I was in Accounting 101. I learned you can check if you have a disposition error (Ex. the number is 43 but you enter 34.) You can divide by 9 and find out. My memory is fuzzy in remembering what to do. Please help!

I have a question to what #1 means....

1) Pre-Qualification (Stated Income - $20,000 verified assets required)

***************** Does that mean I need to make atleast 20,000 a year??? I need to already own a house with more then $20,000 in assets??? Or I dont get it...I guess that is why I am asking for help.

I only included the rest of what I was reading so you had something else to go on.

2) Once Approved - 3 checks need to be written $2,000.00 in total; built

(Contract Deposit $500.00, Building Deposit $1,000.00, Appraisal $500

Then $-0- will be due at closing. That makes a total of $2,000.00 cash out-of-pocket needed for this investment. Construction loans, typically will close in 30 - 45 days, no additional cash is needed for closing and zero payments during construction.

At completion (10 to 12 months), you can sell your home and harvest the built up equity - appreciation or rent

Computer table in their store, marked $79 with no other info other than name of item and stock number. Absolutely nothing about "Sale" or "price in effect until" or "original price $99" written anywhere on the information sticker. That was Dec 31. We came in Jan 7th to purchase, and the price was marked at $99 with general info, nothing else! I approached the sales staff, and they bluntly told me that this is the price, unknown if was on sale, and there was NOTHING they could or would do about it. I spoke with the Assistant Manager (highest mgr at the store at that time), and he was cold and firm that he didn't care that he lost my sale over $20 and any future sales, and too bad it was not marked as being on sale, there was nothing he could do about it.
What is the deal? They don't mark something as on sale, don't care about good will, seem very indifferent as to customer service and flat out practice what I'd marginally call "bait & switch"?
Feedback w/your experience & advice!

Hello there. Today I had to make a bank transfer and I was asked to write the name of the payee.

Which one is the payee? the bank of the person that I'm going to pay to or the account holder himself?

Thank you.

I've noticed a huge trend lately of people using credit/debit cards for virtually every transaction they make, no matter how small. I work in a retail store and people will use them for $2-$3 purchases, which is asinine. Don't people realize that all they're doing is unwittingly furthering the goal of a cashless society and making banks even more money? Of course, there are times when the usage of a card is warranted, such as items bought remotely (mail/internet/phone sales) and larger purchases that you want the CC company's protection for or for something that you don't immediately have the cash on hand. Cards were never really intended for daily, intensive usage; this is part of the reason why there is so much fraud and identity theft. People also frequently live beyond their means with cards, which is another pitfall. I will stick to CASH, personally-no one makes/charges a transaction fee, and companies do not get personal info about me and my buying habits!
