When I was in Accounting 101. I learned you can check if you have a disposition error (Ex. the number is 43 but you enter 34.) You can divide by 9 and find out. My memory is fuzzy in remembering what to do. Please help!

It's called a transposition error because you transposed #'s. When your total is out and it is evenly divisable by 9 you find out the difference between the two #'s transposed. Your example 43 - 34 = 9 . 9/9 =1. The difference between 4 & 3 = 1. You would be looking for numbers that are only one digit apart.
