We gave a down payment for installation of some windows for our home. A contract was signed, the down payment check was cashed. But yet we have not had our windows installed and the guy changed him phone number. We have tried to contact him over and over again and NO LUCK. We even went to his "business" and it seems like no one is there. We signed the contract in May of this year. Now I am getting SUPER nervous. I really don't know what to do. I have reported him to the "BBB". What is my next step. He promised us that he was going to return our money (But that was over a month ago). I really don't want to spend money on a lawyer but I do want my money back....Thanks in advance for your help !

Not sure if that makes sense. I'm selling an expensive piece of jewelry on Craig's List. I have a buyer. The jewelry is genuine. My fear is what if the person buys it, replaces the diamonds w/ fakes and then wants to return it for a refund? I'm the type of person that won't even take jewelry to a shop that doesn't have an onsite jeweler for fear they will swith my diamonds. Am I being paranoid? Once I get the money, I want to pay off some bills not hold on to it just incase they have buyers remorse. What do you think?

I want to open a savings account for my extended family. This account will be a scholarship fund for graduating high school students who have been accepted into a higher education institution. I have read regarding the 501c(3) and that lots of paperwork and $500 to set up. I simply want an account for my family members to contribute and twice a year the treasurer can issue checks to the institutions on behalf of family members that have applied for the family scholarship. It is ideal to not have to pay taxes on the interest of this account.

Ok, at the begining of March I wrote 2 checks to a group for a camping trip and tshirts. the trip was rescheduled 2 times. After the second cancellation we had to back out of the trip with the understanding we would get our money back. End of April, beginning of May they still had not cashed my checks.I asked for them back considering they were gonna give us money back anyways, they said no, Ok no big deal,I told them to cash the checks that week or they would bounce. I only put money in that account during the school year, and they were told that They cashed the checks the week of July 18th.Caused my account to go into overdraft. They waited 5 MONTHS to cash 2 checks totalling 47.00.overdraft fees of 68.00. They dont feel they should have to pay me the overdraft fees back, even after they were told the money wouldnt be in that account after a certain date. They are sending me my 47.00, Do I keep fighting for the other 68.00 or drop it? I didnt do stop payment cause it was 25 per check

I am preparing a financial analysis of a New Zealand manufacturing firm for a university assignment. The following questions need to be addressed: Performance, future prospects and how fair is the share price.

All considered from the point of view of an investor and a potential employee.

I would appreciate an example of such a report prepared for another company so I can get a feel for the stucture and relevant things to cover.

Also what are the most appropriate accounting ratios?

Thanks

The check also states that by cashing or depositing the check, my membership in a certain program will be activated. I don't see how my membership could be activated since I am not a member and they don't have any of my info. Will that activate the addressee's membership?

Hi,

I just wanted to share my horrible and frustrating experience with others about Moody National Bank. Do not do banking with them. At least I won't anymore.

They are a small bank with few branches. You do not have access to them everywhere.

I was mistreated at the bank and came out very dissatisfied.

The manager, Joey Juarez did not notary publicize more than one of the two similar documents for me. He said he just does not. His reasoning was that he has to record it twice in his notebook.

They charged me 2 consecutive NSF fees of $29.50, one of which was for a negative balance of $0.47. They did not even waive one fee as courtesy.
