I live in Georgia. I have savings and checking accounts with 2 major banks but I always wanted to open an account with a credit union to take advantage of low intrest rates, low checking fees, etc. I heard the only way you can open an account with a credit union is if your employer, church or social organization is a member with that particular credit union. The only problem is I don't belong to or work for anyone or anything that is afflilated with a credit union.

Are there any credit unions that allow membership from outsiders or can you only get an account with them if you "belong" to a company or orgaization that has an account or affilation?

These guy sent me 3 checks and wanted me to cash them at a quickie check place and send them the money minus 10% they said I could keep! LOLL I called the bank they wrote the checks from and they had no funds. Now the jerks are threatening me with the FBI etc. Thought you guys should be made aware of this scam!! If you need any other info on them just e-mail me and I will forward you what I have. Watch out for foreign jerks!!!

I saw an interesting article/ 'Financial Table' in a Business magazine which I am interested to use in my business analysis with suitable modifications, as per my requirements. It is indicated at the bottom of the table: "Copyright 2000" and "All Rights Reserved". I understand that copying upto 20 pages is allowed by law. Also pl. note that I am not copying verbatim of the table. Is it acceptable that I am not infringing the Copy Rights of the publisher? Else pl. tell how to utilise the data?
