I've bought a lot from Overstock and yes, there are items when they just plain "suck."
For one, absolutely no presentation. Given that shipping is not centralized and assigned to the merchants actually selling the items, many merchants do not ensure that their merchandise are shipped in a presentable manner. I bought a 1-carat diamond ring -- and the item arrived in a small envelope with the ring inside a small Ziploc!!!! I felt like I bought from a small time eBay seller, not Overstock.com. I certainly did not felt like the item I bought was worth anything if a 1-carat diamond ring is just placed in a Ziploc bag.

Overstock.com is nothing but a sham! I bought a above ground pool over $1,400.00 (liner ripped). Ordered a rug for over $300.00 and that was cheap and looked nothing like the picture but the final straw was when I ordered a crap rug that looked again like nothing from the picture. I told them I wanted my money back they agreed but it was my fault and I would have to find a box or garbage bags to put it in to send it back. Really? They wouldn't even let me take a picture to prove it wasn't the rug online. The supervisor actually told me when I told her I didn't have time to rewrap a rug that wasn't even the one I ordered, told me "you get what you pay for." I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. Look somewhere else before ordering from this site. It's a total bait & switch!!

Yes I order a refurbished Laptop . Two keys on keyboard were not functioning.
I called them.
Customer service said they would refund me $10 and I should have new keyboard installed.Well, A new keyboard cost $30 and installation another $40.
I sent it back and got my money. But now I keep getting emails. I have unsubscribed every time they send a email. This has been going on for months.
Seem I will be going to the FTC .

They try to advertise it as they are selling you items that were "overstocked" but they are pretty much selling you stuff people didn't want to buy in stores. It's pretty much the equivalent of factory2u or Ross on-line

I bought some things from there that were good, but I got some crap. I quit doing business with them because they did not post my review.

Hello Mark,
I understand that you no longer have an account open for the Visa ending in 0376, unfortunately, we are only able to refund the card originally used to place the order or we can issue your credit as in store credit to your Overstock.com account.
If the account is closed for the Visa ending in 0376 the bank should cut you a check for the amount when it comes through.
If you choose to have the refund issued as in store credit to your Overstock.com account, once the return is processed the funds will automatically deduct from your next order with us at checkout.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please let me know if you would prefer the refund as in store credit and I will set it up so it can properly be issued.
Sincerely,
Amber J.

The Card that the Laptop was made on WAS "NOT" CREDIT A CARD. It was a DEBIT Card with Visa Logo for Commerce Bank. My New Financial institution is Navy Federal Credit Union. I have a Checking/ Debit card with them ONLY. Can Provide the Card or Routing Number for NEW DEBIT card or Bank Account. Card is also Visa Debit with my name Mark D. Stancil on it. Or ,I am sending a Deposit slip. I do NOT have anything to do with Commerce Bank anymore and DO NOT want you to waste any more of my time sending a payment to a CLOSED ACCOUNT!
See and USE attached Deposit Slip.

Hello Mark,
I’m writing today in response to your recent contact about the refund for the Dell Latitude D620 1.83GHz 80GB 14-inch Laptop (Refurbished). I am happy to help you today.
Per our company policy all refunds are issued back to the original form of payment. The credit will be issued to the Visa card that was used to place the order. If this card is closed but you have a new card with the same bank/credit card company they should automatically transfer the credit to the new card number. If the account is completely closed the financial institution will generally cut a check for the credited amount. These credits generally take 3 to 5 business days to post once they are issued depending on the bank or credit card company.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. It has been my pleasure to address your issue today, but if you need any additional help, please reply directly to this email and I will be happy to assist you.
Have a great day!
Sincerely,
Amber J.
