I'm doing a project in my class, and I'm wondering what are some good short term stock investments? We are doing it over a 6 week period and we have to "invest agressively". What are some good fast growing companies? Thanks in advance

The Investment fund looks like it has pretty good returns. It invests in ecological companies. This also means someone else (fully qualified and very good at what they do) is in charge of my money.

But I also know of some stocks which I am pretty sure would give me good returns. This would mean I am in charge of my money.

Which should I invest in?

this article (http://www.reuters.com/article/marketsNews/idUKN2428548920070924?rpc=44) came out today and made my stock of CPSL skyrocket 50% today. After hours it has gone up 2 more percent, but I'm worried it will drop tomorrow. Any opinions?

When a stock is sold, how long until that money you've got from the sale is made available for reinvestment? It shows that I have it in my account, but it isn't shown in my spending power, it's holdings. How long does that take, or what has to happen in order for it to be reinvestible?

I think I get most of it, but how does the company I'm trading in benefit when I buy or sell shares? Surely I am buying and selling to other individuals and the company itself is irrelevant to the trade? Doesn't it just mean the company value is kept track of?

Under the old format could chart e.g. DJII for the 12 month period ending December 31 2000. New format seems to only allow charts up to current date.
