Any venture capitalists or angel investors here? I wish to purchase a business in Knoxville, TN and also purchase properties in the tax auction sales. Need help raising money to do this. Please send a message if interested. Email in profile is working.

I have experience working with angel investors and venture capitalists. No one will contact you this way. Search online for venture capitalists in your geographic area, prepare a business plan and a one page proposal. If you cannot explain it in an elevator ride it is too difficult. It is unlikely you will get money for tax auction sales for two reasons. First, they are competitively bid and so the yields are too low for VC or angel money. You need to go to a commercial bank. People expect to get rich at these, and on rare occasions it occurs, but the bidding on these properties are so high, because everyone knows about them, that making money at them is very difficult.

Second, at auctions that are valuable, VC's send their own people to bid, why fund you when they can have the entire profit.

Split this into two proposals, but I would drop the tax sale one, but split it in two and send it in. Knoxville should have a lot of VC's in it.

One note, if the VC isn't going to credibly make 30-40% return, it isn't worth their time given the high failure rate. Also, and this is important, you need to have developed their exit strategy for them. If you cannot explain how they get their money back at 30% interest in five years, it isn't worth their time.
