A S.African just know me thru internet and ask me to help him do investment. He need me to email him my identity doc (passport), contact address and phone no...etc then he will ask his representative agent to send me the money. He said the money is from his dead friend and he could only take care of the money for a few years until his friend's son reaches 18 of age. Is it a trap? Is there anyone experience this before?

I'm bored and thinking about my current investments and the future.
I'm 25 and single. I've been with my current employer for one year next month. My base wage is about 33,500 a year with pleny of overtime and holiday pay. I'm currently on pace for $42,000 and work very little overtime, I make what the average household in my area makes. I plan on buying a home about this time next year but aside from that, I'm looking for places to tie my money up so I don't waste too much of it.

Next month I'm eligible for the 401k at work. My employer matches 50% up to 6%. I plan on giving the 6% to take an extra 3% upfront. I've also been sending a couple hundred a month to prosper.com. I love that site! I tried trading stocks but I don't have the time to babysit and keep up to speed. I have a buddy for that anyway. I'm looking for other ideas? Self-directed IRA? What else? Thanks.

PS I plan on staying in the 15% tax bracket this year and next.

I would like to take some money out of my Roth IRA and invest it in currency exchange.

From what I know, I need to move it to a Self Directed IRA provider and with that account fund the currency exchange account.

Is this correct? Is there another way of doing this? Another method I came across is to form an LLC, which you start with your Self Directed IRA, then trade currency with that LLC.

Thanks for your inputs.

As an example when companies start they usually need money from INVESTORS like Wal-Mart, in turn the investors hope to get capitol gains. Why then after companies have grown like Wal-Mart don't they buy their stock back? I meanI know some companies HAVE and do but why don't all of them?

Why does the price that a person sells their stock for, vary within seconds of each other.
For example, I sell 19000 shares at 50.73p (pence un UK). Seconds before me, a seller sells identical amount of stock at a better 50.85p then seconds afterwards a seller at 50.75p for same amount of stock. How is my (disapointing) offer calculated?
