I have a TSA (tax-sheltered annuity) through Fidelity (signed up for this through my job)...I was told that "TSA" is basically just another term for a 403b. I want to open up a Roth IRA also...can I do this even though I have the TSA? Are there rules/laws regarding this?

If you invest $7,500.00 in an account paying 8.35% compounded continuously, how much money will be in the account at the end of

(A)5.5 years?
(B)12 years?

Best answer defines compounded continously, shows the problem step by step and solution. Explains well. Thanks in advance.

My check was in the mail on 9/11 when they went bankrupt and all banks were closed down, so I never found out who cashed my check and if I still had to purchase stocks that were no longer there because of the bankruptcy.

I'm 26 years old and just started working on building my portfolio. I'm planning on maxing out my Roth IRA contribution for 2006 and am going to contribute 10-15% of my 2007 paycheck towards my employers 401k plan.

For the Roth IRA I'm thinking about investing in NAESX. Is this a good idea or are there others that you would recommend?

More importantly, how should I allocate my 401k? Are there specific mutual funds that you would recommend? I want to be pretty aggressive since I probably won't be touching the money for over 30 years but I also want to make sure I stay diversified.

An answerer wrote "If the put option was unhedged (not part of a spread) I would usually want to sell it at least two week before expiration unless there was an event scheduled before expiration that I thought could have a major impact on the price of the stock." What might happen if you did not sell it at that time?

Can this occur before the expiration date? How does the buyer make contact with the writer to get that transfer going? Can a buyer ever be forced to deliver any stock to a writer? I have been told that the writer has a bigger burden of a possible delivery of the underlying security and that the burden of the buyer is to pay the premium for that investment when that buyer buys that.

I have been led to believe that the writer is the only one who would ever have to surrender shares of a stock in options trading, that the buyer only loses his investment of premium in the call or put at the most. Is this true?

Most people seem to believe that the US dollar is on a long-term downward trend. How can I protect my investments from this relative decline? If I am mostly invested in stocks and funds (ie, of multinational companies), will I be less affected?

I am refering to stock charts on yahoo finance. And, more specifically, who makes these assertions? Is it what the company claims about it's self? Is it "yahoo.finance's" opinion, or a third party?

all answers appreciated.
