I will shortly be starting a new job at a company where they have a contributory pension scheme. They documentation says that they will pay 3% of my salary if I contribute 1%. They only offer this to employees over 30 years old, which I am not.

Is this unlawful under the new Age Discrimination Act of 1st October 2006?

I would like to take up the offer though as I feel it’s a good deal and I’m always planning for my future.

Due to medical problems I am forced to declare bankruptcy. I have about $1200 in stocks that my grandmother gave me that I don't want to lose and I was told that I should put them into an roth-ira which is sheltered from bankruptcy. I'm new to investing and I don't even know how to cash in stocks, let alone put them into an IRA. How would one go about doing this? Thanks.

I'm a plumbing contractor, and I'd like to build a spec house for resale. Am I allowed to form an LLC, ask friends and other trades for money and pay back a guarantee rate so I can generate CASH.
Example: say I ask for someone to Invest in me for $5000, and guarantee a 6.25% return in 12 months. This way I generate CASH, pay less in interest on a construction loan, and pay a better return than 12 months CD?
For the people who invested? Starting from the first day of construction if the house hasnt sold, I will then get a loan needed and pay off the debt. It's all on me to get this house sold within that 12 months.

I know right now I can get say 25 people to invest $5K and at 6.25%. In return each would get $312.50 return. This is higher than a savings, a CD....What kills individuals & builders is interest. When you're a builder the interest to build is just passed along to the buyer. I want to prevent that and try an jump start the new housing market. Built by the trades

the way I did it for myself the last 13 years and been successful at.

I am willing to do so, and i believe the best way to do it is to pool all the monies together, and thensplit the profits according to each one's proportionate contribution.
The question is how to do so, without having the tax burden fall in me, since i wil have only one account for everybody.
I do know that Hedge funds kinda do the same thing, except that I am not managing that much money all together (230K), and it would be ludicrous to go through the burden of recreating a model initially set for people with billions.

Also, I do not have a trading Licence of any sort, but daytrading has been my only source of income for the last 13 years, and i am doing pretty well...

Any solutions?

Are there large investors selling massive qauntities of the stock when it is first announced to suck in the money from small investors that might want to profit from that investment on expectations? And so what should I look for besides good product and strong buy recommendations? Just seems so unfair and so convoluted that someone with lots of wealth would be allowed to do such a thing. Shouldn't there be a law against bidding extremely low on a stock price to bid it down when it really has more potential than that, especially for those who have large sums of money to adjust the market price like that?
