I heard Jim Cramer on Hardball today (02/09/07) talking about an equivalent Hedge Fund for small investors offered by Goldman Sachs. Here 's the thing, I don't want to waste my time trying to be my own hero, I want a renowned company to do the investing for me. Why is it so hard for the small guy to be part of the club? Isn't it obvious that if there were easy-to-find alternatives out there for the small investor the average Joes would inundate these type of accounts probably exceeding the combined wealthier accounts' assets?

The Garraty Company has two bond issues outstanding. Both bonds pay $100 annual interest
plus $1,000 at maturity. Bond L has a maturity of 15 years, and Bond S a maturity of 1 year.
a. What will be the value of each of these bonds when the going rate of interest is (1) 5 percent,
(2) 8 percent, and (3) 12 percent? Assume that there is only one more interest payment
to be made on Bond S.
b. Why does the longer-term (15-year) bond fluctuate more when interest rates change than
does the shorter-term bond (1-year)?

I got a pay out from a 401k from a previous employer. It's a check for under $1,000 but I can't decide what a more practical use for the money would be. Should I invest it in my rollerover IRA for retirement (I'm only 28 and that's my only retirement savings vehicle and I don't make many contributions to it), or should the money go towards paying some bills and paying off a couple of small credit cards and then spending the remainder on myself?

I'm just looking for some opinions of what others would do.

My Yahoo 30 call options, for which I paid about 1000, are now worth almost 2000. Should I sell or hope for further rise in Yahoo's share price?

So for ROK, they are saying that last year, their dividends for the entire year were $1.16 per share. SO, if I owned only one stock last year, I would receive $0.29 a quarter? And if I look at the dividends from 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006, I'll see if there is a general upward trend or a general downward trend and then I can try to project whether their dividends will go up or down?

Where can I look to see a company's dividend and profit history? On their website? Anywhere else? Thanks again!

I just opened a ROTH IRA account at TDAmeritrade. (45 days of free trading for me yay)

Unfortunately, Ameritrade does not allow clients to hold fractional shares, cash is paid for dividends left after full shares are purchased. Unless the stock company itself pays out in shares.

Do all IRA accounts function like this? Does anyone have an Etrade account and have similar problems?

I want an account where my dividends get reinvested. For example Diageo says 2% divs, I want the divs to get reinvested in more shares.

Thanks for your advice in advance.

I have spoke to many people that claim they are millionaires from the stock market without disclosing how they did it. If you have made millions from the stock market please share your tactics here. What stocks would you recommend, what investment company (e-trade, ameritrade, etc)? Do not answer if you haven't made millions in the stock market!
