Yahoo rely on third party information providers for such information.

I suggest you contact Yahoo Finance support and report the problem.

Websites give different prices. It's annoying when they can't get the close price correct. The worst I've seen was barchart listing BRKA as going for over $100,000 a share and dropping to $10,000 a share and they also reported the SP500 dropping 20%. Yahoo is no better and I've seen it where the stock went up and they reported it doing down and vice versa. ETF charts are sometimes weird with the price dropping to zero and then going back up to where it was.
