Market segment means different divisions of the market, low cap, mid cap and large cap stocks. In marketing this means different type of market segmentation like divisions of market based on geographic, demographic etc;. criteria.

There are mainly three types market segments, they are large-cap, mid-cap and small-cap based on their perfomance.
