What's the execution time? It is pretty instant or are there delays at times? Why do you like it? Why don't you like it? If you prefer something else, why?

I think it is at fair value, but I am not sure. I know current liabilities are valued at full maturity due to their being near maturity, but this is in practice and am not sure if this is theoretically correct.

I know how to invest if you have an account with a broker, but I do not have an account. And considering the low cost of these stocks, I do not want to pay a brokers fee.

I have semi-knowledge of it from asking people, but there are still things I'm not entirely sure of. First, how old do you have to be to start stock investing? Whether it be alone, or with adult permission, please specify. Also, I sorta know how it works, but can someone also give me a breif overview again just so I know I'm right?

Also, is there any site I can go to where I can use pretend money on a pretend stock server to see first-hand without the risk of how it works?

Thanks.

I'm 42 and am putting in 15k in my 401k. I get matched on first 5%. I am currently married and in 28% tax bracket. My 401k is invested in American Funds and Vanguard funds. I own and do not rent and am not interested in real estate (sorry I don't buy the hype, the market outperforms real estate over time.) Really want to know what the benefit of putting money into a Roth would be.

I'm going to start an IRA. I don't know who I should invest with or what I should invest in. My boss uses T Rowe Price and invests in mutual funds in pharmaceuticals. I was thinking of using them and finding something in stem cell research. I don't even know if I know what I'm talking about. What do you think? What are you doing for retirement?

The percentage we pay for the mutual fund, doesn't it go to mutual fund managers? If they don't make any money out of our investment, would they take good care of our funds? I heard that loaded fund is more secure than no loaded fund. Is that true?
Thanks!

I got divorced 8 mo's ago and part of the settlement was a portion of my ex's stocks & investments. He is with a company that has him in an aggressive growth account. My ex gave me a paper to sign from this company saying that I accept the money. He told me I can then use whatever co. I wanted.I went to my bank, they worked up the papers. then I received a statement that I lost 3,000 the first day from x's co.When I called them and told them I did not want to use them they said I had to pay a penalty to change so I had them to put the money in a safe money market.I'm 51 and do not want to gamble what I have away. By the time this was done I had lost a total of 8,000.Did I have a choice to change without penalty for a divorce settlement? Is there anything I can do about it now?
