The principles of stock market timing are bogus. If they weren't everyone would be doing it.
There are better ways of investing safely.

There are several good books on the subject. I am not certain which is the best.

Streetsmart Guide to Timing the Stock Market: When to Buy, Sell and Sell Short by Colin Alexander is the least expensive. About $12.00 on Amazon


Trend Trading: Timing Market Tides (Wiley Trading) by Kedrick Brown is one of the more expensive about $36.00 on Amazon

Timing the Market: How To Profit in the Stock Market Using the Yield Curve, Technical Analysis, and Cultural Indicators by Deborah Weir is another. About $40.00

Very good research, quality stocks. I was a bit weary of penny stocks from all the bad hype they receive but this guy is pretty legit. He's put my mind at ease with a lot of the fears I've had.
