Delta dalrq.pk has been trading at 5 to 10 times the normal volume and doubled in price over the last week. I thought this stock becomes worthless as they exit bankruptcy. Same volume increase on bankrupt Northwest nwacq.pk. I own 5k shares of each and fiqured on writing it off. Someone know something I don't?

Where would you invest $12,000? Currently no debt. Own a home and have some stock. So for an addition $12,000 would it be wise to look at an investment property or perhaps more stocks/bonds? Are there small LEGITIMATE side business's that can be entered into w/ this type of money?

I have set up four alerts under Stocks. Three under Daily Summary and one My Market Summary. I almost never get them. They should come daily on days the market is open. I have tried alternate email addresses.

Is anyone else having this problem?
I have sent comments to the Yahoo Alerts site but never get a reply.
Anybody know of a more reliable source of market closing prices? Like maybe google finance?

MSN Money doesn't seem to have this metric? and which financial sites are the best? Is Smart Money, a fee based site, worth the fee and/or should one stick to the free sites?

I'm trying to do my own due diligence, as they say, and the possibilities start to expand beyond what I feel I can reasonably research. So I've got one closed question and lots of open questions. Thank you.

I own a number of stocks, mutual funds, and ETFs through Schwab, which I follow on Schwab's website. But I'd like to get a more sophisticated tool, something that allows me to download price and volume data onto my own computer, so I can generate lots of charts and do a bit of technical analysis. I'm definitely not a day trader, but I'd like to do more of the "buy and hold for a few weeks then sell" style of trading. Plus, it would be useful to keep tabs on my various buys and sells, so I can easily compute how much profit or loss I've made on a given position. I've done things like buy 1000 shares of XYZ, then later sell 300 shares of XYZ, then later buy 200 shares of XYZ. Can anyone recommend a good software tool for this? I don't mind paying for it, if it fits my needs.
