My options are to enroll in a new insurance plan where I am insured thru the hospital where I work called a UMR EPO. This is new and they tell us many hospital organizations are grouping together to insure themselves. They have seperate co pays for Tier 1 and Tier 2 in this program and frankly, I am scared of my options if I became seriously ill. Then I have the option of Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO which is what I am leaning toward because everyone has heard of Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Do you have any idea what I should do? Suggestions. Blue Cross is cheaper then the UMR EPO, I am only insuring myself. No dependents, no husband.

I just bought a new home on October 17th and had it inspected. I was only in the home for 6 days and already the sewer is clogged up and had to have a plumber out who said I would need all new sewer lines because mine were full of roots and it would cost around $1500, which I don't have. Would my home insurance cover this, or at least some of it???

I'm thinking about signing up for it but my question is... If you don't use the money you put into it, do you loose it by the end of the year? Is there a way to get it back if the insurance is cancelled?

Ok, here is what happened. I have like the worst insomnia ever. My doctor has tried everything and about a month ago my doctor prescribed the new sleep medicine Rozerum. It totally worked, and nothing had ever worked except for tranquilizers and sedatives that made me feel like a zombie. So finally my doctor found me this awesome medicine that helps me sleep and doesn't make me feel like the living dead. Then the insurance company calls and says that medicine isn't on their list. So now I can't take it anymore and my doctor is gonna have me back on some effing narcotic and I feel so screwed!

If you are currently employeed and insured for you and your dependants and wish to quit your job and start your own business and buy private insurance somewhere else, can an insurance deny your application or coverage due to a preexisting condition? I know they used to but Im not sure if that is true since the insurance portability law passed a few years ago. Does this law apply to quitting and seeking alternative insurance as long as you do not let your coverage lapse?
