My brother in law has a painting business and he is being required to purchase Workers Compensation for his workers. Does anyone know some good places that sell this kind of policy in the Chicagoland area? Any and all resources will be greatly appreciated!

The same agent that sells his liability coverage should be able to sell him Workers Comp.

It's kinda hard for contractors to get workers comp on a "stand alone" basis - it's not a very profitable line for agents to sell, so they'll want to write the rest of his business.

But any agent CAN do it, if they want to.

in case you upload him as a named motive force on your coverage (the cost may be especially low) then he would be totally lined. although, his insurer may be prepared to flow his conceal on your automobile for some days on a similar time as his automobile is off the line. in case you do no longer do the two of those he will purely have third celebration conceal, or no conceal in any respect. It relies upon on the wording of his coverage, and his insurer's regulations - some purely grant conceal for making use of different vehicles in an emergency, including if the insured motive force grew to grow to be sick. If uncertain, get him to call his insurer to substantiate.

He can get information from the State, or he can call various insurance companies....personally I'd call AFLAC, they have great accident policies that cover an employee On and Off the job, as well as disability and workmans comp. coverage, and are affordable.
