My insurance company, State Farm, is telling me my homeowners policy does not cover for earthquakes. This additional coverage isn't cheap, and I'm not sure whether I should get it. I am uncertain how far I am from a fault line, though I know there have been earthquakes in the Southeast. Any recommendations?

I am new to the UK. In Japan, few people buy home content insurance because home contents are normally not valuable. It seems to me most people here buy home content insurance. It sounds not attractive a)the premium b)the high excess. What is your view?

I purchased a car worthy £2000 and I purchased a comprehensive insurance policy. Some of my friend said that we will not claim (1) losing no claim bonus (2) the car compensation only say £500. They suggest me to increase the excess to $1020 in return for the refund of £94. Is it worthwhile?

I'm trying to find out where I can look to see if my employer should be offering health benefits to full time employees. I thought when a company employed a certain number of employees they had to offer health benefits. Does anyone know of a site I can go to or do you know the answer? I know different states have different laws but I thought this was a federal law.

My brothers and sisters and I are in the process of selling our mom's house this month we got a whooping bill from the mortgage company charging us extra for house insurance. We have house insurance but because it does not have my mother's name on it (an ugly technically) the mortgage company says they don't have to acknowledge the insurance (Allstate by the way) that we have. Therefore they are charging us three times what we are paying for their insurance. In the meantime they said they will only talk to the administrator of the estate...so now how do we go about doing that. Is there a way to do it pro se in Illinois Cook County. Where do we go?
