If Bill Gates or someone of the equivilant earns something like $100,000,000; then how is this spent.

These companies have had a monoploy on other companies and they argue that they have a right to make more money.
But intrests isn't if they have a right to make more money, but what could they possibily spend all that money on to argue about having such a right.

It is not just a case of bring greedy, they still have to want that money to spend of something; but what?
I do not see the piont of someone being greedy to own that amount of money since it is unspendable, it is simply just too much; not that I would be greedy and do this of course.

What does Bill Gates spend his zillion dollar on; what would anyone that is a billionaire spend a billion dollars on?

This I really need to know?

Please tell me the secret of how I get good service from Comcast? Why is customer service not in their vocabulary?

Should I start a petition to have Comcast ousted from Northern California and get a decent cable company, like Cox Cable up here?

Gas prices are just getting so high that working blue collar people cannot afford to drive. Wages should be balanced out to meet the price raises on gas.

This lame credit card company is always trying to send me a check for $8. If I cash the check, I'm automatically enrolled in some crappy program that charges me $200/year.

It's insane. Why do credit card companies try to trick people like this!?!?

B. A monopolist does not follow any principle in choosing a point on a demand curve.

[II] Problems:

Suppose the GoGo company produces sportswear in a perfectly competitive market, and faces a demand function QD = 20 – 2P. For each firm in this industry, suppose MC=AC=$5 in the long run.
1. Find the price charged by GoGo company.
2. Find the number of output produced by GoGo company.
3. Find the profit earned by GoGo company.
4. Find the consumer surplus generated by the company.
Now suppose aliens destroy all the competitors of GoGo company, so that GoGo is now a monopolist in the sportswear market.
5. Find the price charged by GoGo company now.
6. Find the number of output produced by GoGo company now.
7. Find the profit earned by GoGo company now.
