Superior Manufacturing is thinking of launching a new product. The company expects to sell $950,000 of the new product in the first year and $1,500,000 each year thereafter. Direct costs including labor and materials will be 55% of sales. Indirect incremental costs are estimated at $80,000 a year. The project requires a new plant that will cost a total of $1,000,000, which will be depreciated straight line over the next five years. The new line will also require an additional net investment in inventory and receivables in the amount of $200,000. Assume there is no need for additional investment in building and land for the project. The firm's marginal tax rate is 35%, and its cost of capital is 10%. Based on this information you are to complete the following tasks.

There is this company called Chesapeake gas Co. who discovered natural gas in our area. They are wanting to drill and give us money to allow them to drill. My property may or may not be above a gas reserve, BUT, they would still be running gas pipes under my property. Either way I would get money. Should I go ahead and get a lawyer now or wait to see what happens...? What should I do? I hear Chesapeake is the third largest oil and gas company in the world! PS: I don't know what category to put this under, business or geology.... sorry

I know it sounds stupid. But has anyone ever gone through one of those really long surveys claiming to give you a Playstation 3 or something? I went to this "Online Reward Center" thing and I made up a name to see what you had to do to get something and I went through this long survey and at the end I had to sign up for at least to of the company's sponsors. Has anyone ever gone through with it and actually got something? If not, do you know if it really is legit?

I heard Kmart is supposedly going to remodel a bunch of their stores. (according to Kmart.com) I shop there a lot and just curious to hear if anyone has been to any remodeled stores, and what do they look like compared to the old versions? I really don't think Kmart is that bad of a store...it just gets a bad rap IMO.
