from Amex Travel Related Services to American Express Centurion Bank and/or a new Bank that they have set up. Amex Customer Service tried to tell me that all the Credit Card Accounts were moved and a large fine print brochure of new Regulations was sent to all customers.
The excuse is that they want to get into the Mortgage Business..
What do you think of Amex doing this without first asking their long term customers?
I assume that it isn't illegal - but it is poor Customer Relations - Do you agree?
Do you think that Amex is up to some Financial Moves that are less than "Straight Arrow."?

I have a wholesale business. Would you pay a little more for something made in the USA or is it all about price. Ex: Hair Dryer: If it was made in USA would you pay $20 vs a Chinese product of equal quality for $17?

I usually avoid Wal-Mart when I can, but right now they're the only store near me that sells kites, so I bought three of them on Saturday. Just now on one of my message boards, I saw a thread reminding me of Wal-Mart's questionable practices, so I feel bad for buying my kites there. Should I feel bad?

C4 documentary highlights the underhand way Tesco is changing Britain, just like Walmart has to the US. Off shore accounts, land banks and a very dodgy computer for schools scheme (parents need to buy a million pounds worth of shopping for one trampoline / 3,000.00 for one football. The Tesco clubcard is watching what you buy and when you buy - they know when you have your period and when you need condoms - they even keep information on your race - this was one of the reasons I cancelled my clubcard and requested my data to be deleted - lets just hope it has been! Your thoughts....

I can understand outsourcing a specialty project that is not a standard business function, or large scale functions like those irritating call centers, but why outsource a basic function like accounts payable or human resources? If the employer has to pay those individuals a vendor that performs the same function will pay similar individuals to perform those same job functions in addition to wanting to make a profit. So unless its a specialty function, why do it?

I just wonder at what point helping people hide activities and hide their status, possibly illegal status is a bad idea. Or are there more safeguards than meet the eye? particularly in a post 911 world

Don't you get upset that CEO's make millions and millions, yet don't want to pay their workers to let them share company success. Corporate greed or corruption? I say this is more along the lines of corruption.
