I have a wholesale business. Would you pay a little more for something made in the USA or is it all about price. Ex: Hair Dryer: If it was made in USA would you pay $20 vs a Chinese product of equal quality for $17?

I would definitely pay more, because it is unfair that the US is flooded with products from China, India, Thailand where wages and standard of livings are soo pathetically low! It is unfair trade that is going to be the down fall of the Middle-class in the US - and the only ones to benefit are the greedy corporate execs!

I personally would not pay more. I haven't owned a US made car built past 1974 for obvious reasons. I would love to support my country in such purchases but cmon. The Unions of the US are insane. I've done international product shows where at my booth a US Union worker HAD to move my boxes 50 feet under supervision for a cost of $250 where I could have walked them over in 30 secs. They make an inferior product way too expensive to compete.

How much of it is made in the US?? Everything I open has parts in it from somewhere else. If you mean assembled here, well that's nice. but what does that prove? That we bought parts from elsewhere and shipped them here to put together.
Open any American item and the parts lists is pretty rough. My Ford Ranger was built in Canada with parts from Mexico. Funny thing is it has a Mazda engine (which Ford owns part of) and I think the engine was assemble in the US. John Deer tractors has more foreign parts in it then US. Toyota has plants in the US that make almost everything.
Made in the US is just a label I am afraid.

No because chinese/japanese are more smarter than us in technology anyway. We just have more money and use technology to take over our brain thinking.
