I have a 4 year degree in Marketing. I am working in McLean, VA (the busiest city in Northern VA, as well as worst traffic) as a Marketing assistant and getting paid 35K a year. Been a year since I got hired, all my friends work around this area (even marketing assistant) are getting paid at least 40-45K. Am I being ripped off by my employer?

I just started my own buisness as a photographer doing photo shoots outside of a studio. I don't have a lot of money since I just bought my new camera and need to advertise around the close areas to my home. I tried papers but they honestly don't have a place for my ad that works and want triple the price because of that one problem. Any wonderful suggetions on advertising would be greatly appreciated. I am limited on money so please think low cost!

I want to manufacture candles, and I've got everything set up except I don't know how to get stores to buy them. I was considering a few of the small family owned stores along the highway, and a wholesaler in the county... I wanted to send like an e-mail with a picture of the product with my costs and stuff... any other suggestions and thoughts would be great, i know i'm forgetting a few things. =)
BTW: I just plan on making everything in my garage, i shouldn't need any special zoning, and if a store asks, do i tell them?

I have MANY great, marketable, and potentially lucrative ideas for inventions and improvements on existing products, but I do not have the financial resources to pay one of those invention assistance Companies $2,000 for a presentation of my product, and then $10,000 for a prototype of my product. How do I go about presenting my product to a Company for possible mass production as a partnership or for a percentage of the royalties? Its boxes of dirt that come from specific US states. statedirt.com I currently charge 9.99 + shipping for one prepared box. Is this too high, too low? I've had at least one buyer at this level thus far.

Why do manufacturer only sell to company that resells them? would they make more money if they sold em to everyone?
because they sell to company say 5$ and the company sells it higher... any ideas
