We are thinking about making our Loan Officers from 1099 independent contractors to w-2 employees and use a Draw pay system to pay them. All I know about it, is that it's an advance payment until they earn their commission. Once they earn commission, we subtract what was advanced from their paycheck. How would we write their contracts?

i am 16 and have been working for about 6 months and have saved almost all of my money. i have amassed about 10,000 and have about 5,000 from my parents. i was wondering what i could do with it to make the most of it, i don't want to leave it in a bank acount and have it earn a little bit of interest. I have bought a cd 6 month that expires in november, are they a good bet what else could i do to make the most of my money?

I'd like to know your opinions.
-do you think by developing a wide range of products they can be cost-eficient and profitable?
-Do you think supermarkets' house-brand products which are usually cheaper can lead to a price-war with the other brands in the market?
-what about conflict of interest with other brand products which put their products on the shelves of those supermarkets?
-Do you think supermarkets which haven't developed their house-brand products should follow what their fellows have done in order to keep up with the competition?

My father has a credit card debt for about 4,500 from I am guessing over 6 to 7 years ago. He is receiving letters threatening a lawsuit. I was wondering if any one knows the legal time limit in California to collect a debt? I was also wondering what a lawsuit can do, he and my mother a disabled, and live off a state check which they barely get by on. I already give them money and cannot afford to pay this bill. I am trying to figure out what legal rights we have in case we do have to go to court.

I got a cashiering job at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago & have enjoyed working w/the customers. Problem is the management couldn't care less about their employees. (Example: Yesterday I stepped on a nail and it went about an inch into the arch of my foot (OUCH!). Today I still couldn't walk and went to the Dr. for a tetanus shot and to have it looked it. Was told not to work tonight since I stand at a register for 6 hrs/night. I called mgmt and asked if I could use a stool @ my register so I could still work. They said "absolutely not" since I hadn't hurt myself at work & it wasn't a worker's comp issue. They told me to just "lean" for the night. So I took the night off without pay. Gees!
The new Target opening soon is hiring cashiers. Does anyone know if they treat their employees better? I've never worked in a place where the employees are treated like this.
I've looked *everywhere* for an evening typing position w/no luck. The work @ home jobs just seem like scams to me.

I have an interview at Toys R Us on Friday, and I'm trying to prepare as best as possible because it'll be my second interview, but my first actual scheduled one. The other interview I went to was extremely casual, with me wearing jeans and a polo shirt, but I know that that's not something I should wear to this particular interview. So, any help would be appreciated.
