The prices of everything seems to have gone up! I don't want to have to get a job outside of my home (I just earned my Master's Degree) because I want to be there for my kids. Does anybody else feel that the prices are bringing you down a notch?!

If i deposited a cheque and after 5 days the bank clears it and pays the money into my account and then after i drew the money decides that the cheque is invalid. Are they allowed to take the money from my account even though they were supposed to check it in the 5 day clearing period?

Help I need answers for a phone call I need to make tomorow morning to my boss to tell him I need to take a few sick days.

I had an infected boil lanced on my but. That's embarrassing enough but add to that that due to my issue with recurrent miscarriages and the fact that I just got pregnant again (boss doesn't know - no one does) I have to take this blood thinner medication that makes me BLEED profusely. Put 2 and 2 together: having this boil lanced was painful, and bleeds a lot! it's also very hard to sit down for longer than 10 minutes. I have a desk job. I tried going to work today and had to leave early because of the pain and difficulty sitting. My doctor says I need to take a few days off to heal, but what do I tell my boss?

I don't want to give him too much info to make him puke or make him uncomfortable. How do I word this? I'v already told him that I had an emergency over the weekend involving a minor form of day surgery - and that my "stitches" were coming out.

I bank with Washington Mutual. Is this where I should go for my first home purchase? Should I give a second look to a broker or alternate lender?

I have this really great idea that I started with an invention company, but they wanted to market it before it was patented and I just did not feel right doing that. From research, I know that it will take anywhere from 25,000 to 30,000 to get this off the ground and I need to know how to get investors. Ones who can invest and receive a 100% profit in return.

I've searched under Google for data entry online jobs and read about people who researched job scams. The ones they claim are legitimate only has customer service through e-mail and I feel like if they have no phone number than it's a scam also. I'm tired of being ripped off and I want to make good money but I want it to be for real. I'd hate to waste my time and money again and not get anything. I've asked a question like this before and got lots of answers but some of the websites has no phone number to prove to me they really exist. Can someone please help me?

I had an auto lease which ended early last year. On the credit report, it has always shown as "paid and closed". But I started to receive collection calls this year. I called the lease company. They told me that they credited someone else's payment to my account by mistake, and I still owe them money.

They also told me that the collection is already reported when they turned over the account to the collection agency, and they have no way to undo it, but I do not see the record anywhere. Why is that? After the account is closed, can they reopen it and report collection? Is there any way to prevent it from getting on to my account? Thank you!

I'm about to enter college and I was thinking about selling Avon as a side job, but I'm not sure if I'd have enough customers. If you were in college (or are or are going to be) would you buy from someone selling avon? (Avon doesn't just sell makeup, it sells shampoo, soap, bags, shoes, watches (even mens), clothes, toys, movies, etc)

She has asked for proof that when the car was sold at auction that there was not enough to cover the balance of the loan, and she has received no proof. When called by the finance company she has cooperated by telling them just how much she could pay on a monthly basis, but was always told that 'we'll look into that and get back to you'. She feels that because the finance company reposed the car, and failed to get enough money for it at auction, she should not be liable for any outstanding monies.
