Snodrift nailed it.
It really is most important to do something you can enjoy.
I know many people who pursued careers for the money.
You can earn the money, but the money doesn't make you happy.
Believe it or not, you get used to the money real quick.
What you don't get used to is hating your job.

Ultimately, you want happiness out of life, right? Finding a job that you enjoy is one of the most important ways of achieving this. If you find something you are good at and enjoy, the money will (usually) follow. The only other thing I would add is that if you're not sure what your interests might be, the career aptitude tests linked below may (or may not be) helpful. Good luck.

Think about what you ENJOY doing, and then find a career where you get to do that! For example, I love to build things, solve problems, and mess around with computers... so, I'm a Computer Engineer and I deal with designing control systems. I love it, and it's good coin, too!
