i found this check from my state tax return last year and it expired 10 days ago, bad luck I know....finding it so close to the expiration date. But now that I know I'm owed some money, I would like to get it. Does anyone know how to get a new one issued if it's even possible?

Contact the state, they will re-issue the check

Contact the department of revenue or taxation in the state which issued it and get the guidelines you need to comply with in order to have a new one issued.

I've had a pretty bad experience with IRS where they absolutely refused to honor the check.
