My fiance and I are moving to the Washington DC area and are looking for an apartment. I claimed bankruptcy a year ago, and have a tax lein against me. My fiance has very good credit. Both of us need to be on the lease and they are doing a credit check for both of us. We make enough money for the apartment. Could my bad credit keep up from getting this apartment?

My father died 10 years ago from a accidental drowning accident while tubing at a river, he was not married at the time and I am his only child.Anyway I recently found a accidental life insurance policy that has been in a box for 10 years since his death. I was 9 at the time of his death, and no-one was aware of this policy until just recently. I got in touch with the life insurance company and they sent me all the claim papers to fill out and i sent them the police report and autopsy report and the death certificate. what i was wondering is do you think they will pay for a claim that has been filed 10 years after his death being no-one knew the policy existed until now?

How do you guys feel about balancing careers and parenthood. I am all for it. I think there is no reason you cannot do both. But do you all think that parents should get special treatment, ie: extended maternity leave and being able to come back to your same position, when all the while you were gone and someone else was doing your job? I am just curious what people have to say about this. I really feel for the people who choose not to have children, yet basically miss out on some perks.

Right now, I have no means of paying it off. If I were to get funding to go to college, and then be able to make more money, will I still have that debt for the rest of my life? If I wait to pay it until after I get a degree, the fines and interest will be even worse than they are now. I have read that I can't discharge credit card debt through bankruptcy. What do people do when they lose income from a spouse through divorce or death? How can they ever get past their debt when credit cards are in their name?

sliped on a dock and landed on elbow had stitches, and then backing out of the way of another truck and getting your truck hung up and have to be pulled out. The truck you were in not damaged. Also one guy was giving wrong directions, we think on purpose be cause he didn't like me. Then turns it into the office that I was not following directions. When I called him he would laugh and say of I gave you the wrong directions. Actually sent me out of my way 5 to 6 miles. Then this same guy accused me of taking something that I didn;t and his inventory is messed up and mine is fine. He still says i have this item or took it to the wrong place! HHHmmm if I did it was under his directions! LOL

I did not think I could get credit card becuse I had filed bankruptcy years ago. Mother got card in her name for me to use but I cannot prove it because she has died. I didn't know it was illegal to do this, because one of the reasons I am on disabilty is because of mental problems that make me a bit slow. I was making payments on card, even after she died.card center called after finding I was using it, wanting me to pay higher payments in order to"take care of it". At least they were getting their payments. They might would not have gotten anything from her since she had died. I feel like they are holding "fraud charges" over my head so I will pay them higher payments. My mother told me I could keep using it after she died so I could pay some of the bills that she was helping pay before. I was living with my mother. Still living at house and bills are too much for my disability check. That is why I used card., as my mother wanted me to. We were both paying the utility bills.

Most brokers only pay the nurse 40%-50% of the contract dollar. I would rather do the work of getting the contract, but have questions as to how to get started. I would appreciate any insights from people already doing any variation of this approach.

ive been just promoted to supervisor, to an already established team, and the are not taking to me as well as i thought they would. the leaders they had before me were all hard ***'s and i didnt want to adopt that style of leadership, but, i could understand why the other leaders were that way with them. im totaly prepared to be a hard ***, but my suervisor and her boss want me to be less like the other leaders. calm sweet, not so bossy, things along that line, i really feel thats what they are used to and that the style of leadership i should adopt. is it better to be feared and respected, or love?
