My office manager told my coworker, who happens to be my best friend, that she thinks I have personal problems and may have been abused as a child. Fact is I was, but that is really none of her business and I never discussed that with her. I mentioned this to my boss today, while she is on vacation(I just found out last night). He wants me to have a meeting with him and her to discuss this. Problem is she has been trying to sabatoge me but because my boss likes me, he will not fire me on her behalf, although she hired me. She is very vindictive and could possibly really try something drastic now to make me lose my job. Should I ask my boss to not make a deal of it or should I persue with what he suggested?

My boyfriend got a letter from credit card that he owed money from 8 or 9 years ago. I have the same credit card, and I am worried if we were to join finances like we talked about that the company will go after me for the money.

I recently got a job at a fast food establisment. I went to orientation and my first day of work for 4 hours. My schedule for next week only has 2 days scheduled for periods of only 3 hours. Is this normal? I requested 20-29 hours on the application, and I only got 6 for my second week.

I checked my credit report on the internet but confused with the terms. Its certain that collection agency must be trying to locate me. I cant figure out my current debt, thats when I left and now(including interest?). I need help in how to take the first step and how its going to affect my job-hunt.

I think we have all been there. I had a boss similar to the one in the movie. I thought it would be fun to share some stories of these nightmare bosses...
Mine actually told me to babysit her kids. She dropped them off and went to a meeting. They had no discipline and I still had work to do. I let them do WHATEVER they wanted just so I could get my work done. She came back to my hair filled with tape and her kids watching a DVD on my laptop. Anyone have a similar story. Yelling at you to go get her some lunch, telling you how to dress???

I am in the process of starting a clothing line. I just finished my first project yesterday but I don't think that I should go on to making anything else until I know where and what to do with them when I'm finished. I have tons of great ideas and have proved to myself and others that I have the potential to do it. My question is mostly for anyone who has there hand in the fashion designing industry: what should I do now to prepare myself for the next step in my pursuits?

He had a business opportunity for me. It was to accept payment for an oil/gas company in the UK from debtors in North America. I would then keep 10% of the payment & wire the other 90% to him and so on... Sounds good hey! I had received my first payment earlier this week and I cashed the cheque ($35,000.00) I emailed him that the cheque had cleared & waited for my next set of instructions. He than sent me the wire transfer details. So I head to the bank to finalize the transaction. The lady there told me she was nervous for me, that if this was a scam that I would be resposible for the 35Gs. With that I told her I would hold off and investigate the company a little more. In the mean time the bank decided to investigate also. I am now under investigation as they feel I may be part of a scam.... Has this ever happened to anyone else? Could someone please help me in finding that man? The money was never touched, but I feel like criminal.. I look at it now & feel so stupid...

I just graduated college with a BA in English, concentration in communications and minor in journalism, and I have professional experience in communications, writing, and journalism. But I have been ALL OVER the net looking for a job with no luck!

Monster, HotJobs, CareerBuilders, JournalismJobs, JournalismUSA, state and federal government websites ... I've checked them all and more, and I must have applied for easily over 250 jobs ... locally, nationally, and internationally.

Nothing!!!

I need a job QUICKLY!

Anyone here working in communications/journalism (prefereably in Ohio, but not limited to) that can offer some quick advice?
