My credit score is 490 and i'm in the process of getting bankruptcy.
I dont know how life is after babkruptcy. I know things like car rates will be very high. How different will things be? i'm only 25 with two children, working and making 21,000 a year. I want to buy a used car soon but I'm scared of high rated including insurance. Will I be denied for everything? I only have a Macys card and that one is in good standing and will make sure it is. Any one can tell me how life will bw with low credit score and bankruptcy?

I'm 18 years old, without a job, I've got about $1000 to my name, besides the obvious "get a job" response, I'd appreciate any real suggestions about what to do with my money to make it grow, both over a very short period of time, measuring say months, to a long term lifetime plan.

I resighned because i found a new job. A week into my resignation my boss terminated me, for reasons he had no previous Documentation on ! not only that,It so happens that my former boss went to the new agency that hired me for this new job position and said i had been terminated , so therefore I was revoked from my job offer. Which leaves me without a job. Would I qualify for unemployment ? Does this in your opinion seem like a consructive termination ? I had been with the company almost 4 years .

I need to answer the following questions...

The firm's average tax rate was 20 percent.

Cost of goods sold $8,000
Income taxes paid $2,000
Administrative expenses $3,000
Interest expense $1,000
Depreciation $1,000

What was the firm's net income?

I believe that if the tax is 20%, and it says income tax paid was 2000, then the gross income would be 10,000. The net would be 10K becasue all the data is liabilities, therefore its untaxed...

what must have been the firm's revenues?

What's the EBIT?

My previous employers handbook states on the On January 1st of each year, employees having at least 1 year of full-time continuous employment will receive 18 days of paid time to be used as they wish during the year. If all is not used by December 31, cash compensation will be given.I understand 6 of those days are sick time, which are accrued every 6 months, and I was paid for 2.So that still leaves me with 10 days. When I wrote the office manager a demand letter, she now states the other 10 days are accrued through out the year, which it doesnt state that.I could have used my 5 vacation days at the beggining of the year and have been paid for them.I sent a letter to the Attorney General and received a response to take it to small claims court. My question is,should I sue for the 5 days,or would they give me the ten days as stated in the handbook?

All numbers are rough numbers, so the idea comes through better:

I borrowed 20,000 from the government, which I am set up to pay back at 5% interest over the next 10 years.

If I were to lend 20,000 to a bank at a higher interest rate, over the same time frame, wouldn't I be able to use the interest income I earned from the 20,000 I lent to pay off the interest expense incurred on the 20,000 I borrowed?

Of course I would, if I lent at a higher rate than I borrowed. My question to you is: Is this arbitrage possible in the real world?

A friend called and asked me the following. I don't know the answer.
She has been living in a home for one and one half years. She has a two year lease. The lease contract says the landlord pays the water bill. She said the landlord called her and told her that she had to start paying the water bill or get out. Isn't the landlord breaking the contract? If he is, does he owe her the remaining amount of money she have had to pay him for the lease? The landlord told her if she doesn't get the water in her name before July first, she has to move and then he said SHE would be breaking the contract and SHE would owe him the remaining $4000.00 that she would have paid in rent. This is in North Carolina. Anyone out there know? I don't have a clue.

If you found out that:

2 years and 7 months prior to the purchase of your 100+ year old home, the previous owners had video taped the entire sewer system and subsequently removed a section of sewer pipe underneath their sidewalk. You then found that the sewer cleanout in the basement had extensive wear from repeatedly being snaked. Finally, you remember all of their belongings being placed on crates in the basement when you viewed the home...

After having repeated sewer backup problems yourself and finding that a much bigger and more expensive problem exists than just replacing a section of sewer pipe (ie the pipes in the back yard are collapsing). Would you believe the previous owners when they said that they totaly forgot about ever having had a problem when filling out and signing the property disclosure form? And that after their repair they never had another problem? And after viewing the video tape of their sewer line they said"it was a funny tape, so they threw it away."
