Ok I had braces for over two years (5th-7th grade). I then wore my retainer for six months everday, another six months at night and even wore it several times a week for many many more months. Im now a Junior in high school. A couple of months ago my retainer broke and hasnt fit as well. I thought since its been a while and I did everything I was suppose that it was no big deal. I then went to the dentist and he said I had to get braces...again! At first he thought six months but now says another 2 years! Thats my final years of high school, junior and senior year!!! Im totally freaking out. He also says in order for it to work, I would have to wear my retainer for six months twenty four hours but then would have to wear it every night... for the rest of my life!! I dont understand why this is happening to me. He said its the weirdest thing he has seen and has Never happened before.
I was wondering if I could get some opinions. My teeth are not crooked or anything. My mouths more of a V shape than a U and my top and bottom teeth dont touch. There is a space between them. A couple of my friends said they didnt even notice. So do you think I should get braces again? Its my final years of high school after all, especially Sr. year! Is it weird for a high schooler to have braces? Im finally happy with how I look, will braces ruin it? Do guys like girls with braces? Should I try to wait until after I graduate? Please write me what you think
