And what and how much makeup do you wear?

2006-10-09 17:05:39 · 20 answers · asked by Shironeko 1

Even tho I have a gf who is BEAUTIFUL with or without makeup(she doesnt wear lots of it) I still like girls who wear tons of makeup. My gf offered 2 wear thick makeup 4 me cos she knows I like it but she looks great wearing light makeup and lipgloss. My wife wears very thick makeup but she said its a mask for work and gets angry with me if I say I like it. She doesnt like me to touch her until shes washed her face etc. What should I do (Its OK my wife said I should get a gf so shes OK with it)

I love Estee Lauders eyecream, it comes in a little pink tub, but it's sooo expensive. But nothing feels as good as this stuff. Anyone know of a less expensive one that works as well? Thanks.

I have such a low pain threshold, that I can't even get my eyebrows waxed without being a baby. I'm always careful not to wax right before/after my period. Yet, every time (which is only around 3-4 times a year because it hurts so damn bad) I look like a fool on the waxing table, twitching, furrowing my brows, and digging my nails into my hand (seems to help a little). I know I must be hilarious to watch. I'm fighting back tears during the wax. I know I look like a total spaz, and it's frustrating the estheticians because they always scold me. I tried threading, and it was even worse. I don't even want to imagine what leg waxing or bikini waxing (or god forbid, brazilian) is like. I don't want to shave my brows, depilatory creams can't be used, and tweezing hurts like a mofo. So, how can I remedy this? I don't want to look like some hairy monkey.

everytime i put foundation on, it looks fine and all, then 30 mins later, it sort of dissappears but when i re-apply it, it looks bad. i put on face mostizer before i put on foundation, my skin is dry and has a bit of red on the cheeks but i use a toner and cleanser for it. any ideas? ( btw i use l'oreal feel natural foundation, and if u know any good brands name them here!!)

Which line is better? More natural? Costs? I am looking for a new line, and have heard mixed reviews about both. If you have used one or the other, or both, please let me know your opinions. I would love to hear from you.
Thanks!

Also, is it really safe to apply inside the lash line? And when applied *outside* the lash line, do you think it looks shabby or clumsy?

Thanks guys!

Basically the story is that i'm going to homecoming, i don't ever wear foundation but since i'll be dancing i need a foundation that will stay on, and i won't really wear it again so i don't want to spend too much so i want something that i can just pick up at target. I've narrowed it down to these two and i just don't know which one to pick.

Has anyone used one of these, or both of these and could tell me which one is better? That would be amazing!

Recently I think I've dried out my skin to the point where it has started overcompensating and producing *more* oil. Now I'm trying to figure out exactly *which* thing has caused this to happen. (Too much cleansing? Too many oil-blotting sheets? Too much exfoliation? All of the above?). Basically what I want to understand is, How does skin "know" or "detect" that has been dried out to the point where it needs to produce more sebum? Does this have to involve washing or scrubbing? Or is it simply the absence of oil on the surface of the skin (like from using oil blotting sheets, or applying powder too frequently throughout the day)?

If actual washing or scrubbing is required for this change in oil production, then I won't worry about my fairly frequent use of blotting sheets and powder applications (every 2-4 hours). If the skin can "detect" a need to produce more oil from merely blotting & powdering, then I don't know what to do!

Thanks, & I hope this question makes sense...

I just bought the kit at the BM store. Although I am very excited about my new BM kit - I would like to know if anyone out there has the steps for applying the bare mineral products.

I'm one of the many girls who wear eyeliner on a daily basis, but all of the brands I buy either 1: come off easily or 2: doesn't go on smoothly. I hate having to put eyeliner on after every class, so I wanted to know of some brands that stay on for a reasonable amount of time.
