Also, is it really safe to apply inside the lash line? And when applied *outside* the lash line, do you think it looks shabby or clumsy?

Thanks guys!

Hmm... I'm getting confused as to what "on" the lash line means, as opposed to "outside" of it. Also I'm wondering if people use a brush or a pencil... which is easier?

I apply it right on the lashline. It takes a steady hand and practice, but it looks better than applying it under the lashline and it's not as dangerous as applying it inside the lashline. If you apply it inside the lashline, you're just asking for an infection or a stye.

well, I applie outside the lash line. Its where your eye is very close to your eye ball. I just don't want the eyeliner poking my eye and then I could become blind, so its not really as safe using it inside the eyelash. It doesn't look shabby or anything it looks normal but u oughta put the right amout on each corner.

I apply my eyeliner right on the lashline. Sometimes you might need to go back and fill in gaps between your lashes, but it's a lot safer than applying under the lashes. If you do end up with some above the lashline, smudge it towards the outer corner of your eye for extra sex appeal at night!

I do it inside the lash line and I have never, ever had an eye infection, people are going to get mascara and stuff in their eyes anyway, and that never causes an infection. Its best to use a pencil for that though, because liquid liner will leak into your eye more.

The outside is the lashline- the inside are the rims of the eyes. I mix it up but never use liquid eyeliner on the rims- that is not what it's intended for. Lining the outside makes eyes look larger, liner the inside can look more dramatic though.

i do mostly inside but at the very tip of the lash line. basically on the lash line. sometimes above, but it does usually look shabby and not as well defined.

Inside the lash line. I know it's out of date, but I prefer the way it looks.

It depends. If I want to make my eyes look bigger, I apply it on the outside. If I want to make them look smaller and closer, I apply it on the inside. When you apply on the outside, I think it looks pretty. I blend it a bit with the other tip of my eyeliner (it's a little sponge) so that my eyes have that smokey effect. I'm Mexican and I have light skin, so My eyes look deeper and sexier with the eyeliner on the outside.

Inside. I use Egyptian kohl, which is safe and non-toxic although it take a while to learn to apply it right. Done on the inside it makes my eyes hot, they sparkle and look bigger and brighter. Lined on the outside they just look like everyone elses eyes....

i use a pencil and go just under the lash line on bottom. sometimes i line the top lid, just above the lash line.
