I straighten it a lot so it isnt as healthy as it should be

WEll my hair is norma/oily is it pretty good. I dont mean to sound boasful it has volume and stuff but after some time after I brush it it gets knots. Like during school I go to my locker and brush after a little while it gets knots. What do I do to eliminate this problem? I dont really wear any hair products but you can suggest them if therer are good products that won't damage my hair.

Currently golden blonce, I have blue-ish green eyes, my skintone is fair/pale. Eye shape is almond. I would like something that will make me look a tad bit more attractive (lol) and so yeah. I want something different and stuff, but I dont know what would look good on me. PLEASE DONT HARRASS
