Toothpaste will dry them out quickly -- I swear it works. Take some ibuprofen (Advil) to reduce the swelling.

the only way to get rid of pimples is to first find out what kind of skin you have you can do this by asking a liscensed cosmetolegist because using the wronge formula can break you out even more. also try getting a facial at least every other month and using a scrub once a week to exfoliate youre skin this will get rid of the dead skin cells oil and sebum that biulds up on your face and causes breakouts. also if you have to pop fallow these instructions

1. clean you hands and face
2. place cotton balls with astringent on your fingers
3. spread the skin outwards and then push in ( this is the people usually mess up because just squeezing would cause have of the postle pimple or comodone black head to go into the skin causing it to appeare bigger the next day)
4. lastly clean the area with a CLEAN cotton ball to avoid spreading the bacteria.

Get into a regiment of washing every other day with a good cleanser. i use clean & clear. it not only cleans well, i like the feeling it gives with the menthol and if I do have a breakout - it is so minimal that there is nothing to really deal with. Astringents and alcohol will dry your skin and washing like crazy will get your face to produce more oils causing further outbreaks. Stay away from a lot of chocolate and caffeine. There is really no overnight "cure", try not to fuss with it and a good cover foundation/powder will help minimize the blemish.

I had severe acne as a teenager. I can truthfully say that the best way to keep pimples at bay is to wash your face frequently throughout the day. The greatest suggestion is that if you wear makeup, lighten up on it or don't wear it at all. The reason is that makeup and other things such as dirt and perspiration can clog pores, causing pimples to develop.

If you can go to the store, buy some alchohol-free astringent. Make sure it contains Salycic Acid.

If you can't, putting toothpaste on the zit will help clear it up. It may not work overnight, but it'll be close.

Good luck!

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html

I use rubbing alcohol when I have a breakout. It's an astringent but it really does work. I used it on cotton balls and my breakouts clear up. It will sting some but not that much.
