I have a pair of platform tennis shoes and when I walk they make a loud whoosh sound. It's not a thunk or a squeek, they whoosh. I've worn many kinds of sneakers before and it's not usual for them to make that sound. What causes them to do that?

I have trouble keeping them from falling off any idea gals. I wear size 11 shoes and normally a size 10 in flip flops does it but they fall off help????
